Peter Clarke was educated at Culford School and Lincoln College, Oxford. He was a
university lecturer at Nottingham from 1968 until 1971, and was called to the Bar by Lincoln's Inn, in 1970.
From 1971 until 2009 Peter was a Fellow and Tutor in Law at Jesus College, Oxford, and
also during that time Estates Bursar, and for short periods Vice Principal and Acting Principal. He was Junior Proctor from 1978 to 1979, and Arthur Anderson Travelling Fellow in
1979.
Peter was also a practising barrister, and from 2001 until 2015 he was an Immigration
Adjudicator, and later an Immigration Judge. It was on that area of his career he addressed the Club in June 2015, and in the current political and economic climate, we all enjoyed his lively and
informative talk very much indeed.
