Ann has been closely associated with Riding for the Disabled for over 20 years, and has been a Board member of Riding for the Disabled Association and Chairman of Dressage for nine years.
She was a member of the Organising Committee of the World Championships
for ParaEquastrian from 1994 until 2007, and Chef d'equipe and Chairman of Selectors from 1994 until 2002.
Ann was also a member of the National Paralympic Committee for 19 years, and a Board member and Vice Chair of the British Paralympic
Association for 12 years. She is now an Honorary
Life Vice President of the British Paralympic Association..
She was Vice Chair of International Inspiration, the charity created for the London Games, and worked alongside the London Organising Committee from 2004 until
2012.
She is a Vice President of Wheelpower Stoke Mandeville.
Ann was awarded an OBE from the Queen for services
to ParaEquestrian in 2011, and an Honorary
Doctorate for Science from Greenwich University for her work with ParaEquestrian in 2012.
Ann was our speaker in May 2015 and the title of her talk was "An inspirational Paralympic odyssey from Atlanta to
London".
